March 27th Update

We are currently following guidelines set by the CDC (Centers for Disease Control), CMS (Centers for Medicare and Medicaid), Iowa and Cerro Gordo Departments of Public Health. As a part of these infection control procedures, we continue to restrict visitors except for medical personnel and end-of-life situations. These visitors must pass screening protocols as do all employees at the beginning of their shift. The residents are being screened daily as well for any signs and symptoms of infection.

We continue to be grateful for the cooperation of the community, family members, staff and especially the residents. Protecting their health and well-being is our top priority and they have adapted to our “new normal” better than we could have hoped for.

Please feel free to call if you have any questions or concerns – the CO-VID 19 situation is evolving so quickly that we are monitoring websites and receiving updates hourly and daily from the entities listed above. Thank you for your support and kindness in these challenging times.

Welcome to Rockwell Nursing Home

Why choose Rockwell Community Nursing Home?

We are so much more than a nursing home. In addition to being "home" to many, we are a rehabilitation center for those needing short-term placement following a hospitalization and a respite care provider offering short-term stays for those receiving care at home.

We are community members taking care of community members. As a staff, we have cared for our parents, grandparents, neighbors, and friends. We pride ourselves in staff retention and longevity.

We think it is worth the drive to Rockwell to see our beautiful facility located at the edge of town and let our health care professionals show you why community-owned truly makes a difference.
Rockwell Community Nursing Home has been serving the needs of the area since 1976.

What our residents say about us

RCNH is a blessing for our community and surrounding area. Whether for long term care or a short stay for rehabilitation, it is an excellent facility for you or a loved one. My mother spent the last seven years of her life at RCNH and received the best of care. The staff and residents have a great rapport. The nurses and aides are professional and caring. In addition, the community supports the staff and residents with visits and assists with activities. RCNH feels like home

I can raise my arms!!!

A good surgeon in Mason city and a great physical therapy department at the Rockwell Community Nursing Home have been instrumental in my improved quality of life. Both of my shoulders were 'worn out' causing discomfort and limited range of motion. I had one surgically repaired and followed up with therapy at the Rockwell Nursing Home. I now sleep more comfortably at night and have improved range of motion in both of my shoulders.

The therapists were excellent in teaching me what i needed to do to follow the physician orders and also explained the benefits of what they were teaching. They were warm and friendly too!

The nursing home is close to my home and therapy scheduled my times conveniently. I am appreciative.
